POSTPONED – Basic Carpentry in the Garden

Have you ever wanted to get acquainted with power tools but been a little nervous about getting started?  Do you have great ideas for garden projects but don’t know how to get started building them?  This workshop is for you!
This four hour workshop will cover the basics of building a raised garden bed from start to finish. Participants will learn how to a design, plan, layout accurately, select wood, select fasteners, as well as how to use measuring tools, a drill, hammer, handsaw, power mitre saw and circular saw. There will be strong emphasis on learning at your own pace, and being safe in our work.
This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in carrying out basic small scale carpentry projects in the garden. Expect laid-back, experienced, environmentally-minded, queer-friendly instructors.
Suggested donation:  $10 (no one turned away)
